HALCALI was a J-pop and hip-hop duo in the 2000s and 2010s produced by RYO-Z and DJ FUMIYA of the hip hop group RIP SLYME. Childhood friends Haru and Yukari blended pop, rap, and ska, and rose to international fame with “Long Kiss Good Bye,” an ending theme for Naruto Shippuden. Halcali was the first female hip-hop group to reach the top ten in Japan’s Oricon music charts and is known for their catchy melodies and lighthearted lyrics.
